Filters Deals | Meade® #3200 Lunar and Planetary Filter Set

These Meade optical glass color filters put observations of the Moon and planets into a whole new light, boosting image contrast and resolution while reducing glare of the full or near-full moon. The #3200 Color Filter Set includes the all-important red, yellow, blue and neutral density filters for improving performance during common observations. Each filter threads into the barrels of all Meade MA, PL and WA 1.25" eyepieces and comes packed in a separate plastic case for secure short and long term storage. |
| | Meade® 1.25" Moon Filter

The most valuable tool a lunar observer can own, this neutral density filter transmits light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum, allowing for glare-free observations of the Moon and even impressive results when observing distant binary star systems.Features:13% light transmission0.9 densityReduces glare and irradiation in lunar observationAllows for the distinction and separation of close double stars, where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the other in brightnessBest for telescopes of 4" aperture or largerFilters are essential tools of amateur and serious astronomers, allowing for the observation and photography of surface detail that is often invisible without filtration. By reducing irradiation caused by the motion of the Earth's atmosphere and improving color separation, a filter can for example mean the difference between seeing six festoons on Jupiter versus two.Meade Series 4000 Filters measure 26mm in clear aperture and are manufactured from the purest crown optical glass, dyed-in-the-mass (not "color coated"). Each filter is anti-reflection coated on both sides and is mounted in a machined aluminum cell with the written number of the filter marked on the side of the cell. Filters may be piggybacked or stacked to achieve selective filtration of the visual color spectrum. For visual applications, Series 4000 Filters thread into the barrels of all Meade 1.25" eyepieces. Each filter is packed in a foam-fitted plastic case for secure long-term storage. |
| | Meade® Color Filter Set #3

Improve the resolution and contrast of planetary and lunar images with this set of four color filters that enhance surface details and highlight even the subtlest planetary features. Using the correct filter, for example, can mean the difference between seeing and not seeing small craterlets on the Moon or seeing six festoons on Jupiter versus two. Includes:#8 Light Yellow Filter 83% light transmission: A popular filter for the enhancement of lunar features#21 Orange Filter 46% light transmission: Sharpens boundaries between the yellow-orange areas and blue-green regions on Mars#38A Dark Blue Filter 17% light transmission: Strongly rejects orange and red wavelengths, making it great for the study of Jupiter's disc#56 Light Green Filter 53% light transmission: Enhances detail of yellow-tinted dust storms on Martian surface Meade Series 4000 Filters measure 26mm in clear aperture and are manufactured from the purest crown optical glass, dyed-in-the-mass (not "color coated"). | | Meade® #905 Variable Polarizing Filter

The #905 Variable Polarizing Filter (1.25") greatly reduces glare in Moon observations through its two Polarizer filters mounted in a specially-machined cell. Rotate the thumbscrew on the side of the unit to adjust for varying lunar surface brightness related to Moon phases or scope magnifications. Variable settings of light transmissions range between 5% and 25% of their original value. The #905 inserts into the diagonal prism followed by the eyepiece. Accepts all 1.25" eyepieces. |

| | Meade Basic Camera Adapter

Create lasting impressions of your telescopic findings with your standard 35mm camera. All you need to get started with your reflecting or refracting telescope is a Basic Camera Adapter, which threads onto the rear cell of your telescope, and a T-mount appropriate to your brand of 35mm camera (sold separately). With these two components in place, the camera body is rigidly coupled to the telescope's optical system, which in effect becomes the camera's lens. Just operate your camera normally to capture stunning celestial and terrestrial images like never before! The 1.25" Basic Camera Adapter directly attaches to your camera body and a .1.25" telescope eyepiece holder. Each adapter is machined to close tolerance from a solid bar of hardened aluminum; all surfaces are anodized to yield a beautiful smooth black finish and to minimize internal reflections. Barrels are of chrome-plated brass; the barrels of 1.25" Basic Camera Adapters are threaded for Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filters. Basic Camera Adapters should be used with a T-Mount appropriate to your brand of 35mm camera. |
